My friends are all really different from each other. One’s a historian, a few are photographers, others are writers, some are into punk rock, a few goth themselves up, a few are really religious, some are lawyers, and one runs his own business from home. They often do things that contradict each other’s actions. For example, one of my friends flew down to Miami to become a Personal Injury Attorney in Florida, but ended up not finding any clients and having to fly back to Chicago, move in with his Mom, and wait tables. Then another one of my friends went to law school in Florida and waited tables while he did that. Then he flew back to Chicago after passing the bar and set up shop as a lawyer here and is doing quite well. One thing is for certain and that’s if you put all my friends into a single room together then they would start killing each other. None of them would ever get along. The one thing they all have in common is that they know me. And, believe me, I know that I’m not enough to keep them from tearing each other apart. I have heard that if you really want to know what someone is like then you just have to look at their friends. I really don’t know what my group of friends says about me.
