I have gone back and forth with my desire to get eye surgery. I am not sure if it is something I want to do. I think it is, but then I start going over all the things that will be good about getting the surgery, and all the things that could go wrong if I have the surgery. One thing that got me thinking about having the surgery was my not wanting to wear eyeglasses. I spend a lot of money on eyeglasses. I think the cost of Lasik would pay for itself in a year or two. It seems that I buy at least two extra pair of eyeglasses each year because I either lose my eyeglasses or end up laying them down in the most inappropriate places and they get stepped on or sit on. In the last year I ended up buying three pairs of glasses. I can’t even seem to keep a spare pair. But the thing that has me thinking twice about getting the eye surgery is the possibility that I might end up having to wear glasses even after the surgery. From research that I’ve done, I now it is not absolutely guaranteed that I will have vision good enough that I won’t need my glasses.
